Editorial Policy
How we research, write, source, and update peptide education content.
Last updated: May 12, 2026
Our editorial mission
MedTideUSA exists to give Americans calm, credible, plain-English information about peptides — what they are, what research suggests, what is legal in the United States, and what may change as policy evolves.
How we research topics
- We start with primary sources where possible: FDA guidance, HHS publications, NIH and PubMed research, peer-reviewed journals, and clinical trial registries.
- We summarize evidence honestly, including its limitations (e.g., preclinical vs. human data, sample size, replication).
- We do not write definitive medical claims about peptide effectiveness when the evidence does not support them.
How we use sources
Every guide includes a Sources section linking out to the primary references we relied on. We prefer reputable sources (FDA, NIH/PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, peer-reviewed journals) over anecdotal or community-based reporting.
How we handle legal and medical content
Peptide law is evolving. We use cautious, forward-looking language and explicitly note when information may change. We do not provide individualized medical or legal advice, and we recommend readers consult a licensed clinician for any decision that involves their health.
How we update content
- Each guide displays its publication date and last updated date.
- We re-review high-traffic guides on a regular cadence.
- When FDA, HHS, or state guidance materially changes, we update relevant pages and the dates.
Author and reviewer disclosure
Most content is authored by the MedTideUSA Editorial Team. As we add clinician reviewers, their names and credentials will be disclosed on relevant pages. We do not fabricate clinician review.
Corrections
If you spot an error, please see our corrections policy or email us at our contact page.
Independence
MedTideUSA does not currently sell peptides or take payment for content placement. If that ever changes, we will disclose any commercial relationships clearly on the relevant pages.
